Cheerleaders Say Their Uniforms are Too Skimpy | NBC Connecticut

  1. When reading about the cheerleaders, I thought it was really sad that people didn't really care what the girls had to say about the uniforms, even though it did go against the league rules. And what I found was worse was the fact that the superintendent said that the uniforms were appropriate. Cheerleading isn't about the more skin that they show, but about technique and skill and I think people forget that. I thought it was awesome that the girls took a stand for themselves instead of just keeping their mouths shut about it.

  2. I believe that this was a very interesting article. It seems as though cheerleaders today must meet a certain standard based on looks and how much skin they can show without getting in trouble for it. I believe that these particular teens were very brave for standing up against the school board and stating the fact that they did not feel their new uniforms are appropriate. We should take more time and appreciate the hard work they put into their routines and the talent they display during competitions.
