  1. To begin with this man should be ashamed of himself. Not only is he being disrespectful to the lives that were taken because of people like him, he’s being disrespectful to the parents, friends and family who have lost loved ones because of such ridiculous behavior. I bet if his son or daughter committed suicide he'd think differently, regardless of if they were gay or not. People like this are the exact reason that homosexuals are so cautious with who they open up too. Also, as someone who works at a school, it’s his job to make kids feel accepted and safe and he clearly doesn’t. Lastly, what grown man is honestly complaining to people about homosexuals over facebook? He’s acting as if he is a 17 year old that can only speak his mind through technology. If he is so against homosexuality then I don’t believe he has any right working around kids that are homosexual and making them feel uncomfortable in a place where they are supposed to feel accepted.

  2. I completely agree with the opinions in this article. I find it disgusting and horrible that someone would feel this way, let alone post it on Facebook. If you work for the school district you are supposed to be supportive and accepting. If this man cannot handle his hatred of homosexuality then he should quit his job and not wait to be fired, which I'm sure he will be. I think he should take some time to look at what is really important in life. He should take a look at his own flaws and not be trying to find them in others. Another thing, I find it extremely upsetting that he would drag God into this. God would not approve of this man's actions. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to wish for someone to die, nowhere does it say to make people uncomfortable and depressed. God would want this man to be loving and supportive of his students and create an environment where they can feel safe and secure with the person they are. I hope the school district does the right thing by firing this man and I hope that he has learned his lesson. I hope he prays for clarity and forgiveness.

  4. To be honest, the school board member who was responsible for making this statement should be embarrassed. I feel like we're at an age where we should know not to judge anyone by their skin color, gender, race, or sexual orientation; but judge people by their character. There is a great deal of ignorance in the world; people should also know that aids is not a "gay mans disease". I'm not really sure what would compel this board member to say something like this?
