What do you think about these leaks? Read the link--could more than a third of U.S. women soldiers suffer rape while on the job? If so, how do you explain it? Why would the military want to cover it up?

I don't believe that more than a third of women soldiers are being raped, but I don't doubt that more than a third are sexually assaulted in different ways other than rape. This can be explained because military culture is typically violent. Also it is easier for commanders to look away so that there aren't any breakdowns in their military unit. The military would try to cover this up because men with a military background are supposed to be honored, not looked down upon. If there are more leaks about these types of assaults the amount of women that enlist in the armed forces will decrease and possibly even the amount of men.

I really think this is ridiculous. It's very sad and upsetting to hear that women who are serving our country and trying to help our country are getting treated like this. This is their job and they shouldn't be afraid to go to work. I mean they already have enough stress and getting raped on the job shouldn't be one of them. I feel like the military tries to cover this up because they need more soldiers and if they alert women of this problem or issue then they probably will have less soldiers at least in the women race part. I really think someone needs to do something about this situation and it should be stopped immediately because these are women who most defiantly don't deserve this whatsoever.
