  2. Toni Bond Leonard first became involved with the feminist movement in 1990, as a volunteer medical advocate. She helped specifically with rape crises in the south side of Chicago. From there she became the Executive Director of the Chicago Abortion Fund and to this day is the Executive Director of Black Women for Reproductive Justice. However her accomplishments do not stop there, Toni is also the president of the National Network of Abortion Funds as well as the SisterSong Women of Color, and serves as a leader of the Trust Black Women organization. Toni Bond Leonard is a hard working woman who has achieved many things, she has strong values and beliefs and stands behind them. Toni does not discriminate against white females, she is for all women and their reproductive rights.

  4. Toni Bond Leonard is an african american woman who is working for reproducive "justice" for black women and other women. She is very involved in Black Women for Reproductive Justice which to me resembles a more efficient planned parenthood or other clinic of that type. The difference in her work is that she is working on giving knowledge to women, and using that as the greatest resource. She is someone who is very important and productive in the the programs she is involved in.

  5. Toni Bond leonard is and african american women who is fighting for "justice" in women of her own race and for all women in general. She was the first woman of color Executive director of the Chicago Abortion Fund and is now the director of Black Women for Reproductive Justice. She is fighting for her beliefs and will not stop until she feels she has done what is right. Her main job is to see what exactly they can do to make black women be healthy, have healthy families, and live in healthy communities. Her every day goal is to work with black women who have every day to day challenges and to help try and make their lives easier so they will not have to rely on any harmful things. Or to even get them to the point where they feel stress free. She wishes to connect with the black women with these challenges so she can get a better understanding of what they are going through. She is an inspiration to the woman community and is looked up to.

  6. Toni Bond Leonard is responsible for the day-to-day administration of BWRJ, which includes, staff management and supervision, fund raising, and fiscal management. Prior to assuming this position, Ms. Bond Leonard served as the Executive Director of the Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) for seven years. She was the first woman of color to serve as CAF’s Executive Director. While at CAF, she led the organization in publishing it’s much celebrated first bi-annual policy report, “With Liberty and Justice for Some.” This report looked at the provision of abortion and family planning services in Chicago and statewide and compared it to services provided nationally and internationally. Under her leadership, CAF gained national recognition as one of the premier, independent abortion funds in the Midwest. Prior to assuming the leadership of CAF, Ms. Bond Leonard was a Medical Advocate at the Harriet M. Harris Center, YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where she coordinated the medical advocacy component of its rape crisis center.
