How does the author of this article comes to the conclusion that women's inequality hurts more than just women?

  1. Islamic law is the primary factor why women have inequality when it comes to men. Because of this law it makes women unapproachable to men. This in return makes men not want to have anything to do with them. As well all know, men have their needs which results them to find satisfaction. In Afghanistan young boys are being subject to rape and abuse. In my opinion, regardless of law or not, this is socially abnormal and ethically wrong. How you can subject young men to this treatment is beyond me. It is unbelievable how they see women and "unclean and distasteful", yet these actions they are performing are the exact same. I guess this is their culture and I'm sure they don't see anything wrong with this, but that in itself just makes it all the more wrong.

  2. The author explains that because women are perceived as "unclean" and given bad names that they hide away from the public especially men. Given that case because men are unable to see women and their bodies they turn to young boys for their sexual pleasures. So by not giving women atleast some type of inequality these poor boys are suffering and going through an experience that is unnatural and irregular. These boys are getting treated like this just because no one wants to give the islamic women some equal rights and not to mention a little freedom. I truly think this is wrong on so many different levels and no one should ever get mistreated for something they are not held responsible for.

  3. Very nice comments, however, we must remember that it's not Islamic law in general that makes women "unclean" but only a particular way of INTERPRETING the law among only some Islamists.

  4. The author of this article comes to the conclusion that women's inequality hurts more than just women by explaining how men in Afghanistan sexually abuse young boys. The men are turned to the young boys because the women in Afghanistan are not atrractive enough for them. The women are forced to wear clothing that cover their whole body from head to toe leaving me with nothing to see. Men are only allowed to look at unmarried women feet, not any other part of the body. Also during their menstrual cycle, men view them as being "unclean" and not "tasty". I think these are the reasons why men have young boys dress as if they were girls, so they could have a "female" like apperance to look at. I would have to say that with women's inequality, the young boys are also being hurt along with the women and that isn't right! Those young boys shouldn't have to suffer for a law that they didn't have any part of! They should be treated like the young boys that they are and be taught how to grow up to be a real man and not a homosexual.
