Can a stripper be sexually assaulted? Law and Order SVU says yes:

Awesome “Law and Order: SVU” Moment:

Have you seen this episode? What do you think of Lori (the blogger's) commentary?

  1. I agree with what was told to the victim and what the blogger stated. Just because her work is sexual it does not mean she is asking to be raped. Her body belongs to herself just like it does for everyone else. Her job does not take away her rights. Its like saying well he/she is a cop they deserved to get shot. We can all agree that this is not true, so why in our society when someone holds a career that goes against the norms do we say they deserved something like rape.

  2. Lori's commentary is completely correct. The Topic of sexual assault of any kind is tough to see on television especially when the victim blames themselves when clearly they didn't ask for it. Sexual assault to anyone of any profession is unacceptable. I agree with Rachel's comment that having a job doesn't take away your rights.A stripper had the same rights as a doctor or a lawyer or anyone else with a higher socioeconomic status.Besides, growing up I was always told that you look with your eyes not with your hands no matter if you are in an expensive store or a strip club.

  3. I think it is definitely possible for a stripper to be sexually assaulted. In my opinion sexual assault is anything against someones will. Strippers get paid to entertain an audience by dancing provocatively, they don't get paid to sleep with people. With that being said if someone forces a sexual act upon them without their consent it should be considered assault.
