I agree with the article in that it states we as women need to be recognized more than we are. We have done many important things for this country and have addressed many important issues. I agree we should have a day designated where schools teach about women rights, the women who have fought for those rights, and how we can continue to do so in the future. I feel that it will push the younger generations into standing up for what they believe in and to fight for their freedom and rights. It would also educate everyone more about our countries history and how far we have come from the suffarge rights we first fought for.
I think they should create a federal holiday. It's important to know what women have done in history, as well as what they did to become with men under the law. Before I took this class I didn't really know a whole lot about women's history, so in creating a federal holiday it can help spread awareness and appreciation of generations of women who dared to fight for equality.
